For the second year in a row we attended the Keep the Beat fundraiser presented by the NOLA Network (3rd Annual). It was inspiring to see so many dedicated people who are able to continue the cause through their grief and pain. On this 7th year Anniversary of my sons death I want to share with you a Mother’s Day card he sent me.
What has gotten me through these years??
God….My faith in him needs no evidence.
I know Shane is with God serving him and watching over Pop’s, Ashley, my cousins and their families, and the Boone’s;
But mostly his Mother who struggles Every Day without him.
Some of you never had the pleasure of meeting Shane but by sharing this card and our website (shanetanzosh.com) we’re hoping you can get a feeling for the greatest gift God has given our family.

Unfortunately we have another tragic story to share, this time involving a 17 year old football player from Long Island, of a young person passing too soon from something that could have been prevented with proper screening. It is vital that we continue to raise awareness of sudden cardiac arrests and fight for funding to screen people who are at risk, especially young athletes. Please join us in giving our condolences to the Bush family.

On day 2 we continued giving CPR and AED training and also had the opportunity to give a Heimlich Maneuver demonstration!

After spending some time at the Capitol, we continued our March to the White House where we were able to demonstrate and educate a larger audience.
